Exciting and fun murder mystery games
with full and amusing scripts and
‘real’, three-dimensional, tangible clues
Are you looking for an adult party game? A game perfectly designed for a murder mystery dinner or murder mystery party? Do you enjoy role-play? Then look no further.
Murderous Acts! provides exciting and fun murder mystery games designed for either 8 or 10 players (see individual game for details). In each game, a murder has been committed and all the players are suspects. The aim of the game is to establish the identity of the murderer by listening to the dialogue and examining the evidence.
Each murder mystery game contains a full and amusing script. Take a preview of one of our murder mystery game scripts. Murderous Acts! made the decision to have full scripts in its games after carrying out research that indicated that most people prefer to have scripts because they keep the conversation flowing and make role-play easier for the more reticent players. Each murder mystery script tells an interesting story and reveals details of each character's life and secrets that they may have. The scripts contain an abundance of humorous lines from the mouths of the many colourful characters. See our murder mystery game characters / suspects page for illustrations.
The character booklets and scripts are delivered sealed, in order to prevent the more curious host taking a peep before the party. During the murder mystery games, information is revealed, both within the scripted dialogue itself and in the form of ‘real’, three-dimensional, tangible clues, all in sealed envelopes in order to maintain the mystery until the appropriate time. Any paper clues usually contain one or more hidden jokes. Some of the games contain secret items, also in sealed envelopes or boxes.*
Now, as an alternative to the boxed games, delivery free murder mystery games are also available. Downloadable murder mystery games / printable murder mystery games are available within 24 hours of receipt of order. Please see the downloadable games for full details.
All the characters must be present at the murder mystery party as they are all suspects and all have a share of the dialogue. Murderous Acts! believes it is important to give all the characters lines to read. Again, this was after research that found that when guests have gone to the time, trouble and expense of acquiring costumes and getting into character, they appreciate participating fully in the murder mystery game rather than being an optional extra character with no lines.
Although the murder mystery games contain no overtly sexually explicit references, the scripts would be considered of an adult nature, with the use of mild ‘bad’ language, and are therefore aimed at an audience aged 14 plus.
Every effort has been taken to ensure the contents of the murder mystery games contain no errors, but there are no guarantees. Murderous Acts! welcomes your feedback.
